Process:-

The Group's Crude Processing Refineries (E3-001-HV) are a complete, modularised unit ready for installation and designed to be fully erected and operational within 4-8 weeks from arrival at the prepared project site. All equipment is fully warranted for 12 months and includes a process guarantee. Based on a typical 20° API crude oil, the HU001-HV will process the rated capacity and produce by volume approximately 20% Naphtha, 25% Distillate, and 55% Residuum using Atmospheric distillation. The Naphtha and Diesel are then sent to storage while the residue is further processed using a Vacuum Distillation Unit(VDU). Operating under a Vacuum allows for reduced boiling points and further products can be yielded. Standard Products from the VDU are LVGO, HVGO and VR. Actual processing capacities will vary depending on the characteristics of the feedstock used. Products

SPM EPCI:-

 

The single point mooring buoy consists of a buoy that is permanently moored to the seabed by means of multiple mooring lines. The buoy contains a bearing system that allows rotation around the moored geo-static part. When moored to the rotating part of the buoy , the vessel is able to freely weathervane around the geo-static part of the buoy. As the moored vessel rotates itself into the dominant environment, the system will minimise the loads on the mooring system of the buoy.  
This capability of the SPM system is also used during the approach of a vessel to the SPM. The vessel will approach the buoy with its bow into the dominant environment, maximising control while minimising the need for tug assistance. 
Some single point mooring buoys are "off-the-shelf" products with a selection of standard options, while others have been custom-designed. The mooring system (the lines and anchor points) are always specifically designed to match the vessel’s requirements and local environmental conditions.
The mooring system can also be combined with a fluid transfer system that enables connection of (subsea) pipelines to the tanker. The fluid transfer system includes submarine hoses between the pipeline end manifold (PLEM) at the seabed and the buoy, and hoses between the buoy and the tanker. In the buoy a swivel provides the fluid transfer path between the geostatic part and the rotating part of the buoy.

Tank Maintenance:-

INSPECTION

The tanks are required to undergo periodic inspection and integrity checks to API Standards and the tank is required to be cleaned to hotwork standards.

MAINTENANCE

The tank is required to be cleaned to facilitate required repair work and any maintenance or modifications required to be carried out.

De-SLUDGING

The tanks are cleaned for desludging and  recovery of hydrocarbons from the sludge to increase storage volume.

REMEDIAL

Sludge blocks pumps and pipework interfering with the operation of floating roof systems, potentially costing millions of dollars

PRODUCT CHANGE

The tank is cleaned  prior to a product change

Summary of Operation

 

  1. The Tank Sweep Unit is fitted to the tank by cold-tapping an 18” flange to the manway. If there is no suitable manway then the tank sweep can be hot-tapped directly to the tank shell.
  2. A pump is attached to the Tank Sweep to provide pressuree for the recirculation process. A Filtration Unit and hoses are also installed.
  3. Pumping commences and the Tank Sweep Jet Stream is introduced into the tank via directable nozzles and circulated under high pressure.
  4. The liquid is recycled through the filtration system until the contents are fully homogenised.
  5. Using a centrifuge in the Treatment Plant the solids are separated and the oil and water is returned to the tank to ensure the safe operating levels for the system to function.
